Siebold the Cartographer

As an offshoot to his endeavour of accumulating and disseminating knowledge about Japan, Siebold compiled and published both maps and geographical studies. This lecture will discuss his skills as a cartographer and his achievements as perhaps the first Western researcher of Japan’s cartographic history.
